Effective January 1, 2022, the state of Arizona implemented legislation to mandate surgeons to provide proper informed consent for breast implant surgery. Patient information will include the GPAC Patient Decision Checklist which will enable patients to make an informed and educated decision about having breast implant surgery.

Arizona Senate Bill SB-1001 will be the model for similar legislation in other states.
